A 30mm Cloud Beast

The Tauren Vortex 30 RDA comes with a closed 510 pin, designed for use on a standard box mod for dripping e-liquid. However, it also includes a BF pin with a bottom-feeding hole, allowing use on a squonk mod. The biggest challenge is finding a BF mod that can accommodate the 30mm diameter, but we’ll come back to that later.

This is a dual-coil dripper. The deep juice well holds up to 2.5ml of e-liquid, reducing the need for frequent refills. The machining quality is excellent, and the postless deck makes coil installation easy, requiring minimal experience in vaping.

The box includes a coil leg trimming tool to ensure accurate cutting, as well as two pre-made coils—3 Core fused Claptons—for a powerful direct lung vape.

The build deck features multiple airflow inlets, directing air along the coils, plus additional cooling vents at the bottom. The Tauren Vortex RDA accommodates large exotic coils and efficiently cools them at high wattages. During use, the dripper doesn’t whistle, and airflow remains smooth. Airflow is precisely directed toward the coils, ensuring a clean and uninterrupted draw.

A metal insert sits at the top of the barrel, directing airflow toward the build deck while slightly reducing the atomization chamber for excellent flavor concentration. When rotating the barrel, this insert remains fixed, reducing the top airflow slots. The adjustment is precise and stays in place, ensuring consistent performance with every puff. Again, the machining is flawless and inspires confidence.

The deck provides ample space for large coils. The recommended coil leg length is 6mm, which offers a balanced flavor experience. However, users can experiment with coil height and placement to achieve a warmer or cooler vape.

The Tauren Vortex RDA is highly forgiving and versatile, allowing numerous configurations depending on the desired experience. Testing different setups is encouraged to explore a range of sensations.

Wicking is just as easy—a generous amount of cotton is needed due to the spacious juice well.

In terms of performance, the Tauren Vortex RDA is an impressive dripper. Flavor production is excellent. From 70W, the vape is already rich and well-defined. Of course, it can handle much higher wattages, delivering massive vapor clouds without compromising flavor.

With the ability to adjust coil placement and tweak airflow, this RDA offers a wide range of customization options.
