GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – A Grand Island teenager is headed to trial court in connection with recent burglaries at two local vape shops.
Easton Enevoldsen, 18, is charged with burglary and attempted burglary. On Wednesday he waived an evidence hearing and his case was transferred to Hall County District Court for possible trial.
His arraignment in district court is Feb. 4. At arraignment, a suspect typically pleads guilty or not guilty to the charges faced. He is currently in the Hall County jail on $25,000 bond.
Enevoldsen was one of five people arrested last month after break-ins at VIP Smoke Shop and Chasing Clouds Vape Shop. Grand Island police said $2,200 worth of items were stolen from the business and damage was estimated around $2,600.
Kaden Fieldgrove, 18, was one of the people arrested. He’s also charged with burglary. His evidence hearing was scheduled Jan. 16 in Hall County Court. Fieldgrove is free in $2,500 cash bond.
Three juveniles were also arrested in connection with the break-ins. One is being held in a juvenile detention facility. The other two were put on ankle monitors and returned to their parents.
