One man was killed an a second was injured in a shooting in Newark on Tuesday night.
Police found the two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds near the 200 block of South Orange Avenue around 9:30 p.m., the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news statement.
Both men were rushed to University Hospital. Ty’Shon Young, 27, of Newark, was pronounced dead at 9:57 p.m., officials said. The second victim, a 25-year-old man, is still hospitalized, authorities said Wednesday.
No arrests have been made. An investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office and Newark Police Department is ongoing.
