FRESNO COUNTY, Calif (FOX26) — Fresno County Supervisor Luis Chavez urges the public to take action after he says a fraudulent Facebook post was made on his account.
According to Chavez, The post claimed items are being sold to help him move his father into aged care.
Chavez wants the public to know this is a scam and that he has not authorized any sales or deposit requests.

He is working with Facebook and local law enforcement to regain control of his account and investigate the matter.
“I am deeply concerned by the unauthorized use of my Facebook page and the potential harm caused to our community. Please disregard any fraudulent posts and report them immediately. Your vigilance is crucial, and I appreciate your support as we work through this issue, ” said Chavez.
He also says that if you sent money, you should contact your bank or payment service immediately to report the fraudulent charge.
