CORYDON, Ind. (WAVE/Gray News) – A man in Indiana has been arrested after police said he posted death threats towards Elon Musk on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The social media platform has been owned by Musk since 2022.

The Indiana State Police said Texas authorities contacted them Tuesday and told them 28-year-old David Cherry had threatened Musk on social media earlier in February.
An investigation then found Cherry in Clarksville, Indiana where he was reportedly arrested without incident.
He was taken in for questioning, and officials obtained a search warrant of Cherry’s home in Palmyra. When the warrant was executed, authorities said they found an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun, ammunition and a ballistic vest from the residence.
Cherry has been charged with intimidation.
He’s currently being held in the Harrison County Jail without bond.
