CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A burst of snow fell across much of the region early this morning as much colder air rushed in.
This brought a dusting to up to an inch of snow in spots.
Be mindful of the potential for slick and snow-covered roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures continue dropping through the morning.
They will fall to the low 20s by midday and remain steady there for the remainder of the day.
Meanwhile, wind chills hover in the single digits much of the day amid a blustery northwest wind between 10 and 20 mph.
Gusts may occasionally top out around 35 mph.
After the initial snow burst this morning, snow showers become more scattered and lake-effect driven throughout the day.
Additional light accumulations of snow are likely.
For tonight, expect breaks in the clouds but lingering flurries and perhaps a few snow showers for the snowbelt.
Low temperatures fall to the teens by Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon sees a partly cloudy sky as high temperatures only climb back to the upper 20s.
Monday will be mostly sunny and dry as temperatures rebound to the 40s.
The next big weather system swings through on Wednesday with widespread rain, storms, and wind.
Colder air rushes back in on Thursday where a few snow showers are again likely.
