ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A TikTok that’s been viewed almost seven million times since it was posted in early February has a local connection.
Patrick Forte shared the above video shortly after the birth of his daughter, Avalon. His son, Everest, who just turned three, couldn’t be happier to have a little sister.
Patrick and his family live in Boise, Idaho, but in 2014, his mom Jody moved back to Rockford. Jody said she couldn’t believe it.
Jody Forte Extended Interview:
“My son and I were sitting on the couch and he goes ‘Mom, we have a million views on TikTok’ and I’m like ‘Wait, what?’” said Jody. “I was bawling my eyes out and my daughter-in-law, Alex, was as well.”
As of Friday afternoon, the video had more than 6.8 million views, more than a million likes and 11,000 comments.
“None of it was rehearsed. None of it. It was all real,” said Jody.
Jody said she couldn’t be more grateful to see the video bring so much joy to so many people.
“Now, when I watch videos that touch me in a certain way, I respond because it has meaning to the people and the people who are in the video,” said Jody.
Patrick is a veteran and life coach who works with those who served.
